The story
The multi-award winning Scale Lane Bridge is believed to be the world's first swing bridge which allows the public to have the unique experience of riding on the bridge while it opens and closes to river traffic. The bridge was designed, fabricated, installed and commissionned by Qualter Hall, based on an original concept by architects McDowell + Benedetti, with Alan Baxter as structural engineers.
The video
We were commissioned by Qualter Hall to produce a film to show the bridge in motion and to demonstrate its unique engineering, structural and architectural design features, including its specially commissioned soundscape and lighting system. The video was used as a marketing and promotional tool for potential customers.
